It was a fashion and music affair at the ZALORA Singapore Marketplace launch. Young local entrepreneurs and musicians came together to make one great event at Spruce restaurant. The place was decked out in cool DIY chic from a rustic, chalkboard welcome sign to wooden planks spray painted with the ZALORA logo made by our very own talented team. Crafty!
At the exclusive launch event, Marketplace sellers set up stalls where media and guests had the opportunity to get a closer look at the products sold on ZALORA Marketplace. Some of the sellers who were featured include Rad Popsicles, a line of clothing in bold and loud prints and fashion label, 1214 Alley, made for women of sizes UK 10 to 16.
Guests mixed and mingled with the local designers while enjoying sweet treats like candy floss, popcorn and delicious cupcakes by Kreme Couture The Patisserie. Those who wanted a dose of creativity headed to the DIY booths where they tried their hand at designing tote bags using stamps and got themselves customised temporary tattoos by Gumtoo.
Managing Director Magnus Grimeland and Regional Marketplace Director Daniele Perotti chatted to the audience and shared more about marketplace before the bands took to the stage again. Keeping in line with the local theme, three Singaporean bands Lost Weekend, Still Sunrise and six-piece alternative hip-hop rock band While The Kids are Surreal performed exclusively for ZALORA at Spruce.
At the end of the night, guests left with a leather notebook cover by leather accessories brand 72 Smalldive and other goodies and not forgetting the famous ZALORA tote bag!
With over 15 million visits per month to ZALORA, Marketplace will give independent fashion designers and sellers the opportunity to instantly expand their business to ZALORA’s massive customer base.
